Can I get a figure made from a photo for a 60th or 88th birthday?

In Japan, long-life birthdays are celebrated with a color: red for the 60th (kanreki), purple for the 70th and 77th, yellow or gold for the 80th and 88th (beiju), and white for the 99th. The figure takes its clothing colors from the photo, so a photo in the celebration outfit comes out in those colors. The same works for any big birthday — a 60th, 70th, 80th or 90th party anywhere.

Which photo should I use?

• A photo from the celebration: the party outfit, the hat, the moment they were the guest of honor.
• An everyday photo: their hobby, their favorite jacket — the way the family remembers them.
• A clear face. In a group photo, crop around the person before uploading.
• Old or printed photos are fine. Lay the print flat and photograph it without glare.

Figures are 6cm $65 / 8cm $99 / 10cm $129. Shipping is $7 and delivery takes 3–4 weeks, so order about a month before the party. For a true-to-life look, choose the realistic style (figures only, 2× the price).
